Updates that respect you
Your PC stays up to date on its own, safely, and only if you want it to.
Automatic
ESO checks this website every 6 hours and installs updates in the background at the lowest priority. You get a notification when it's done.
Signed
Every update is signed with the ESO release key. Anything unsigned or replayed is refused, even if the server were hacked.
Restore point first
A snapshot is taken before installing. If anything goes wrong, go back to the previous version in one click.
Your switch
Settings → Updates → Automatic updates. When it's off, ESO doesn't contact the internet for updates at all.
Updates also wait while you play (Game mode), on metered connections and on low battery.
